Lynsey

A Patient from Many Years Ago Professes to Be Light Walking All Day...But Is She?
Profile

32 year old female

Exercise

Walking and tending to farm duties.

History

Lynsey was a patient from many years ago who I'd optimised her light walking technique clinically before we had prototypes to test patients with.Lynsey reached out late last year and I asked if she'd like to see her walking data with EVOLVE MVMT.After having bilateral (both side) joint replacements, Lynsey told me that she had me her head reminding her to light walk everyday!

The Data Explained

Left image: walking, Lynsey believed she shock absorbed well. However, EVOLVE MVMT show both are poor, with right leg worse than leg left.

Right image: optimized walking technique (purely feedback, walk completed 30 seconds after initial test) improves averages to approximately 6/10 on her right leg and 7.5/10 on her left leg.

Patients are unaware of shock absorption performance.

The Outcome for Lynsey

After 17 years of development, Lynsey has lived what I have seen over thousands of patients.

Unless you are checking your walking technique with live feedback you simply don't know how well you are doing it. The body always adapts and so do our brains. If you have had an injury or pain, it is normal for the body to adapt during its recover.

The problem is, it doesn't return back to the most optimal movement pattern with out guidance.

After all, walking and running are skills - you need to sharpen them!
